Meet Our Teachers
Ryo is an amazing teacher in Samarai Ballet. His passion gives weight to the classes and you never know when a ballet class can become a real tangle of blood, sweat and tears.
Miss Buffy-Sue is our owner and main teacher. She has been dancing since she was 18 months old. Her mother used to teach her in the living room. When she was three she started dancing classes at Miss Mamie's Modeling, Twirling, Tumbling, Gymnastics, Dance, Pageant, Cooking, Cheer and Charm School.
She trained in all dance styles, including toe dancing and hula and has performed professionally in many local and state fairs. She is the blue ribbon winner at the Arkansas State Fair for her performance to Turn the Beat Around, a toe dancing/twirling dance. Her fire batons and cartwheels took the audience's breath away.
At the age of 11 she started teaching preschool classes for Miss Mamie and loved it so much, decided at 16 to start her own school in her garage. Her dad painted the cement floors a pretty pink and put mirrors on the wall and that was the beginning of her career as a studio owner.
Mr. Short-T has many years of B-boy and hip hop experience under his short belt. He won the Break Dance Head Spin award for the past 5 years at the US Finals. His flat head has given him this gift and now he wishes to pass his love of these two dance forms onto all ages.
His classes will run at odd hours so we can work around his homework, family dinner and chore schedule.

Miss Britney began dancing at the age of 16 and competed in Nationally Amazing Dance Competitions, winning multiple awards for facial expression, exaggeration,go girl-ness and flexibility. Then she enrolled in a Beginning Ballet class in college, was accepted into a Modern Dance company because her boyfriend ran it,and was hired to teach ballet classes at the local ballet school. Miss Britney says, "I am awewsome! You don't have to be able to dance, you just have to be able to dream! Shortly after I graduated,I was hired on as a faculty member at my university as a ballet teacher. However I'm looking forward to indulging my current interest in teaching dance to young children even though I have no actual dance skill. Or I could teach tumbling, or whatever. Little kids are fun! Let me learn from them! Or, maybe they can learn from me!"
Miss Britney is now the head of our ballet department.
Miss Aibhlinn has been dancing along with Riverdance and Lord of the Dance videos since she can remember. She is thrilled to be able to pass along her video training to our male students. The male dancers just love her and it is obvious at how excited they are when they take her class.

Our new burlesque classes are in the planning stages and Ms Flashitall comes highly recommended and can't wait to teach the proper technique that is needed in this highly technical form of dance, the crook of the finger or the batt of an eyelid can mean all the difference between success or failure in this fickle art form. Ms Flashitall encourages all of her students to start studying as young as possible, her preschool classes have been a great hit at all of the studio's she's worked previously and has had great success with her routines at certain competitions.
Miss Stikhiny has many years of experience teaching charm lessons. Her happy-go-lucky, no-nonsense personality, whips everyone into shape with manners and proper etiquette. Sign your children up today and they will always be afraid to not be charming.
